About Sajek Valley

At 1,476 metres, Sajek Valley sits high enough in the Rangamati hills that the clouds roll through at eye level every morning. From Ruilui and Konglak para — the two hamlets that make up the valley — you look out over a sea of white mist covering the jungle below, with peaks piercing through like islands. It's one of the most distinctive views in Bangladesh.

The road to Sajek runs through military checkpoints and winding hill passes from Khagrachari — a 3–4 hour drive that's an adventure in itself. The valley has a concentrated cluster of resorts, hostels, and bamboo cottages. Most visitors arrive for sunset, spend the night under an open sky of stars, and stay for the morning clouds.

Sajek is accessible year-round, though the best cloud conditions occur during and just after monsoon (July–October). Winter brings clear skies and cold nights — pack layers.
